Vaulter Magazine – Vaulter Club Travel Team Moving Right Along
The travel team circuit is flowing at full force, and they are not about to slow down at any time soon.
Just finishing up meets in Temecula, Huntington Beach, Westminster, and Corona, the series now has an event at San Diego State University with college and elite athletes.
A few of the elite athletes qualified and competed in the Olympic trials this year, and one pole vaulter jumped in the 2016 RIO Olympics. Tomorrow there is a big day planned for all of the high school level pole vaulters that have worked so hard. The meet will start at 9:00 a.m. and last throughout the day. Tomorrow the high school kids will get to jump with some of the best from college and elite level from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
The meet is held annually for SDSU and is called the red and black meet. With this said, other events will be contested, and entries from all levels will be accepted. There will be plenty of action with two pole vault pits and all other events taking place around the track.
After the meet, there will be a question and answer period for coaches and athletes alike to ask the college, elite, and Olympian pole vaulters. This is a particular situation and one to be attending tomorrow for the pole vault enthusiasts.
