New Coach for Vaulter Magazine Club Team
Vaulter Magazine – Vaulter Club Inc., continues to bring the coaching to the kids that want and need it the most. If it’s the after-school program or the elite club kids, we want to give them best opportunity possible. We’re always doing our best to find coaching and bring out the best of the best that we can offer.
We would like to introduce our newest coach that will start out with speed training for the club kids that we have on our travel team Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm at Chaparral High School. Not only will he bring experience to the club he will also give the kids a better understanding of the NCAA recruiting process and more.
Maxfield brings over a decade of elite high school level coaching success in cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field to Vaulter Club coming from Franklin Pierce University men’s track and field team. In his 10 years at Bow High School (NH), coach Maxfield oversaw six state championship and four state runner-up placing teams, as well as guiding more than 50 individual state champions in nearly every event, including the New Hampshire state decathlon champion. He is Level 1 USATF, USTFCCCA and pole vault coaching certified, as well as a USATF registered coach.
Coach Maxfield graduated from Division I Idaho State University in 1996 with a degree in journalism and mass communications, where he was a standout student-athlete on the track and cross country squads. Each year he is heavily involved in the sport of track & field as a presenter at clinics throughout New England, an annual official at the prestigious Simplot Games, and as the head counselor and coach at the Dick Fosbury Track Camp.
